Foreign Universities Campus in India
Continuous efforts are being made by the UGC to improve the standard of higher education in the country significantly. In this sequence, steps are being taken to ensure that students stay in the country and get an education along the lines of foreign countries. But now, nine major international universities, including Oxford University, have refused to open their campuses in India.
According to the information, the UGC has contacted the Indian ambassadors of more than 60 countries. So that cooperation can be taken in relation to the partnership of international universities with the universities of India. Efforts are being made by the commission to open campuses of international universities in the country. The opening of campuses of foreign universities in the country is one of the significant recommendations of the New Education Policy 2020. In a survey conducted by Deemed Universities, eight foreign universities had shown interest in opening campuses in India.
